Norfolk Botanical Garden When looking for a fun family friendly activity in Norfolk, I highly recommend the Norfolk Botanical Garden. The garden is hidden next to the Norfolk Airport off Azalea Garden Rd. Celebrating it's 75th year, the Norfolk Botanical Garden is a non-profit museum for plants. Ocean Breeze Waterpark in Virginia Beach With temperatures, heat index and frizzy hair rising, Ocean Breeze Waterpark is a great family friendly activity on a hot day in Virginia Beach. It's a medium-sized waterpark a couple of miles away from the Oceanfront, and within a mile from the Virginia Beach Aquarium .
