Wildewood neighborhood 2. Very family friendly. Walking and biking trails along Main Street to all houses. Most homes on small culdesacs with about six homes each. Young families to older grand parent types.

"Lots of amenities"

Wildewood has lots of walking & biking paths. We rent for under $2,000. In Wildewood there are different neighborhoods within and each neighborhood in Wildewood has it's own social qualities and HOA, but there is a Wildewood pool and club house that you can pay into. The closes base is PAX River. The base here is strange:/ It has a gym and classes and a commissary. But it just works different than other bases we have been to. The base is made up of more contractors and DOD than active duty and so you see that when you look for the "extras" that the base provides. Other bases are Andrews AFB is about a 1 hr commute, Bethesda a little longer. It all depends on traffic. Dalgrhen is I think 45 mins.

"Well designed community"

Wildewood is very large and there really is something for everyone here. I want to add that the houses in Wildewood range from $100k to $400k, but that wasn't an option above. We rented a house here and enjoyed our time. This neighborhood is very large with small communities within and did I mention 5 pools. There is Primrose Park, Hickory Nut, Sycamore Hollow, and Wild Iris and more I can't remember. Also there are apartments and a gated retirement community. The elementary school Evergreen Elementary and it is good. The only thing that is CHANGING is the military housing within Wildewood. It used to be officer housing and now they are changing it to enlisted housing. So if you were hoping to get military housing on Wildewood as an officer that won't be happening in the future. You will most likely get put behind Target where houses are nice, but it's not Wildewood.
