"Elmwood Landing/Mill Creek area of Deep Creek"

Elmwood Landing/Mill Creek section of Chesapeake has a variety of housing options. There is a newer subdivision (Culpepper Landing) with newly built apartments, townhouses, and single family homes at the end of Mill Creek Pkwy. Across the street from Elmwood Landing off Weiss Ln. is a newer subdivision with larger single family homes. The entire area is very military and law enforcement friendly (mostly senior enlisted and junior officers, retired military, and police officers). Overall, the neighborhood demographics are families in their 30s-50s. Elmwood Landing and Mill Creek are the older neighborhoods (est. in early 1990s) with mostly brick ranch style homes, with the occasional 2 story. The newer neighborhoods are 2 story homes. I don't have much experience with the schools in the area since my daughter is only 3, but highly recommend Primrose Preschool which is 7 minutes up the street in the Cahoon Commons shopping center.
