"Ward’s Corner"

Love the location of this neighborhood. Super easy access to interstates and base, just blocks away from groceries, coffee shops, and restaurants. Very affordable area of Norfolk. We didn’t know anything about the area when we moved here, but we love it now.

"Some areas good some bad"

Parts of Wards Corner are sketchy. The closer you are to Little Creek Rd the more spotty the neighborhoods are. With that being said the closer you go towards Talbot Park (away from Little Creek Rd) on Grandby the better. Need to see this area before renting or buying, however they are revitalizing the area and adding a Harris Teeter (an upscale grocery store).

"Wards Corner is NOT okay"

I have read the review about Ward's Corner being a safe neighborhood with great neighbors, but I have had a different experience. This area is notorious for criminal activity. It may seem nice at first, but once the sun goes down, it is a different story.

"Safe neighborhood, Great neighbors!"

Quiet deadend street. Close proximity to Ghent, Norfolk Zoo, Botanical Gardens. Short drive to VA Beach and Mt. Trashmore (large kid play area, kite flying, running etc) About two miles from the base so traffic is not an issue. All around great area!
