We are raising our children here and they walk to the elementary school and high school. There is a neighborhood pool with a very active swim team for all age children, many family festivals, from pool parties, parades, Easter egg hunt...Voluntary HOA for $30 which pays for the upkeep of common areas (beautiful trees, flowers, and neighborhood park) and provides you with a book of POC information for all the neighbors (voluntary to be listed). Neighbor watch drives around the neighborhood during the evening. Multiple book clubs, political clubs, 5K runs, girl scouts and boy scouts, mom groups, wine clubs, bunko groups, etc...Borders Huntley Meadows which are protected wetlands so beautiful nature. Walking distance to shops, including Wegmans. Neighborhood facebook pages for selling items and event notices and monthly newsletter. Many military families and the schools support the changes/welcoming of military children. Pet-friendly and many dog walkers. We feel very fortunate to live here as we can have our career and family time unrushed.
