"Friendly, golf course community"

LOVE living here! It is one of the few neighborhoods where the developer decided to leave the trees, so its absolutely beautiful. There are walking trails, a swimming pool and clubhouse, tennis courts, plus the fantastic Augustine Golf Course weaves in and out of the community.
Augustine is 3 miles West from I-95 on Courthouse Rd. There are commuter lots 10 min away where you can carpool or "slug" to the Pentagon using the new Express Lanes (35 min) or to DC. The Virginia Railway Express Brooke station is about 15 min away.
The HOA is active and holds a National Night Out event, holiday events, game night for kids, bunco for ladies, book clubs, plus the clubhouse can be rented for parties or other events.
The golf course has a restaurant and bar and is open nearly every day and is right in the community. They also host community events, live band nights, and offer neighborhood specials. There are plenty of trees so there isn't much danger of a ball hitting your house nor errant golfers looking for their balls in your backyard.
The homes range from 2000 to over 6000 square feet. Most sell in the $500K range, though there have been some below and some above that. The community was finished a few years ago, but some homes date back to the early 1990's. None of the homes are set up to back up to another neighbor's back yard.

"Upscale family neighborhood"

This is a well established golf course community with all the amenities for families including a club house, pool, tennis courts, and walking trails.
There are a wide range of families that live here including retired, families with older children and families with younger children. A lot of the families are either military, retired military or government employees.
It is a great neighborhood for running, walking with dogs, biking, etc.
The schools associated with this neighborhood are the absolute best in the county and surrounding counties.
