Springwood Subdivision: Off Base Neighborhood/Subdivision

Review

"Private Gated Community"

This neighborhood is an undiscovered quiet gem. Over the years, it's lost it popularity to Schertz and Cibolo. However, by comparison of current crime statistics (July 2017), Universal City and Converse boasts significantly less crime than the popular nearby towns. The appeal of this neighborhood is that it is the only gated private community in Universal City, patrolled by Bexar County Constable. The location provides 3 various routes to reach Randolph AFB, all taking 5-10 minutes. It is especially convenient for those who are involved in Randolph High School and Middle School. The other perk is the easy 15-20 minute commute to Ft. Sam (SAMMC) without having to access IH-35, a thorn in every local's side.
We have all several local amenities and shopping, new Wal-Mart and a quiet HEB, also quick access to local community college, and the residents are predominately military affiliated. All branches represented.
Have young children? They'll love Halloween in this community. Lots of participants, lots of walkers, lots of parents, tons of candy and treats, just an example of one of the neighborhood events hosted here for residents.
