"Lakes & Village meet Military"

Whispering Pines has numerous lakes that are public to residents and great walking trails at Nick's Creek and the reservoir (behind Sandhills Community College).
While it has grown considerably over the last 15 years, it still maintains a 'village' feel. And now has the added bonus of convenience with Harris Teeter, Food Lion and Ace Hardware, to name a few.

  • Recommendations: Whispering Pines is still a convenient commute to Fort Bragg without the suburban sprawl feeling. In other words, if you want 'suburbia' you probably don't want Whispering Pines. If you want great schools and a more rural setting yet still with access to 'town' and shopping, Whispering Pines is a great location for military families!
